Bridal Skin Care 101: Winter Edition

If you’ve chosen to wed your spouse-to-be in the winter season, you can bet you’re going to be in store for beautiful scenery, gorgeous wedding dresses, and exceptional photos. But that also means you’ll need to take the climate and the weather into account when you’re thinking about your skin care.

Skin care changes based on the season, and if you’re planning for a winter wedding (colder months), you’ll probably want to adjust your skin care routine in order to ensure that you’re maintaining the beautiful, vibrant, glowing skin you’ve always wanted for your wedding!

We’ve teamed up with JJ’s House designer Jessica to offer up some of the best winter skin tips you’ll need to know to keep your wedding skin a-glowin’. Check out our advice below.

Moisturizer is Everything

The winter offers a ton of great features that summer doesn’t, but unfortunately, with these seasons comes drier, colder weather, and often, this kind of weather can be super tough on your skin. For this reason, it’s important that you’re consistently moisturizing your skin in order to avoid dryness, patchiness, and even wrinkles! An oil-based moisturizer might work best if you’re battling tough skin issues during these seasons. Check out the ingredients list before you buy your moisturizer to make sure it is compatible with your skin.

Don’t Forget to Hydrate!

So often we forget that it’s not all about what we’re putting on our skin, but rather, in our body. It’s harder to hydrate properly when it’s colder out and drier out, but that doesn’t mean we get to just skimp on drinking water! You need to hydrate your skin from within in order to get the best possible results and hold on to that healthy glow in the colder months. Besides that, drinking more water helps promote better health overall, so no matter what, you’re winning here.

When all Else Fails, Try a Humidifier

While there are tons of methods, masks, moisturizers and more to help hydrate your skin, when all else fails, consider investing in a humidifier. Keeping a humidifier in your home can help to put some moisture back in the air – moisture that your skin is likely going to miss out on. This can help reduce cracks, dryness, and patchiness, keeping your skin soft to the touch.

Exfoliation is your Best Friend

This is going to be an incredibly important process during the winter months. Why? Your skin, no matter the season, is going to naturally collect dead, dry cells, and in order to properly clean out your pores and effectively moisturize, you’re going to need to ensure you’re sloughing off all that dry, dead skin! How else will you get access to those beautiful pores? Take it an extra step by exfoliating once or twice a week (based on your skin type) and try to find the perfect moisturizer to cap off the washing process so that you’re not being too harsh to your skin!

24 Charming Backyard BBQ Wedding Ideas For Low-Key Couples

Charming Backyard BBQ Wedding Ideas For Low-Key Couples

Having a BBQ wedding is not only stylish but also budget-friendly. If you and your fiance are fond of natural country life, a backyard BBQ wedding will be quite fun. It’s a great chance to get away from busy city life and time to enjoy the casual and free party time. Having Friends and families gather together celebrating your big day in the familiar backyard will make your wedding more enjoyable and memorable.

Instead of sticking with the traditional color schemes, go with creative and bright colors in a beautiful sunset. Or simply you can go with earth tones or natural colors that go with the surroundings like green, blue and pink. The most suitable decorations are mason jars with wild flowers, funny beer barrow with cool drinks, hay bales and wagon wheels. They help add a touch of casual country style and your guests will enjoy the reception better.

Since it’s a outdoor event, to make your guests more comfortable, you can simply choose buffets instead of having formal reception tables. People can get whatever they like and you can save some budget. As for the wedding cakes, you’d better choose yummy and delicious pies to replace the formal costy wedding cakes.

In a word, just think it’s a big party with your personalities, do not be afraid of to be creative and you will make your wedding one of a kind. Your guests will of course enjoy your BBQ and will not forget about it for some time. Here are some great ideas about having a backyard BBQ wedding, hopefully you will get inspired!
